Nobla ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Nobla mobile application and the website at nobla.app, including the private beta application form. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application, visit our website, or apply to take part in the beta.
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as:
If we introduce planned features such as site conversation transcription or in-app payments in future, we will update this policy before collecting that data.
We use the information we collect to:
If you apply to take part in the Nobla private beta through the application form on our website, this section explains how we handle the information you provide.
Information we collect. Through the beta application form we collect your full name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), business name (if you provide one), location (town, city or county), how long you have worked as a painter or decorator, roughly how many quotes you prepare each month, how you currently prepare quotes, the device you would use to test Nobla, your description of the biggest problem with your current surveying or quoting process, whether you are willing to test Nobla on genuine customer surveys and to provide feedback, and the date, time and page from which you applied.
How we use it. We use this information to assess your application, contact you about your application, administer your access to the beta if you are accepted, and gather your feedback during the beta. Any messages we send you about the beta are service and administration messages about your participation; they are not marketing.
Lawful basis. Under UK GDPR we rely on a lawful basis for each purpose:
Our legitimate interests are: selecting appropriate testers; operating and improving the beta programme; developing and securing the Nobla product; and maintaining records of beta participation and feedback. We balance these interests against your rights and interests, and we collect only the information we need for these purposes. The checkbox on the application form confirms you have been shown this notice; it is an acknowledgement, not consent, and it is not the lawful basis for our processing.
Who processes it. Your application is transmitted and stored using service providers who act as our processors, including Vercel Inc. (website hosting and the serverless function that receives the form) and Resend (which delivers your application to us by email). These providers process the information only to provide these services to us.
International transfers. Vercel and Resend are based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect your information.
How long we keep it.
Your rights and how to exercise them. You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion, to restrict or object to our processing (including objecting to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests), and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights — including to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your application — contact the data controller using the details in the "Data Controller" section below, or send your request through the contact form on our website at nobla.app. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Data controller. The organisation or person responsible for this information, and how to contact us, is set out in the "Data Controller" section below.
Nobla is built with privacy and security in mind. App data is stored using Supabase (database and backend services). Beta applications submitted through this website are handled by Vercel (hosting) and delivered to us by email via Resend.
We use access controls, authentication and other reasonable technical measures to protect account data. No online service can be completely secure, and you should keep your login details confidential.
We do not claim that data is stored only in the UK. Where our providers process data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
We keep account and survey data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Beta application data is retained as described in the Beta Tester Applications section above. We may retain limited records longer where required by law or for legitimate security purposes.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in the Data Controller section below.
Nobla may introduce planned features such as deposit and job payments, site conversation transcription, or AI-assisted photo review. These are not live today. If we begin collecting personal data for them, we will update this policy first. Transcription, if introduced, would be designed for use with customer knowledge and consent. AI-assisted features would be intended to assist your work — not replace professional inspection or judgement.
The controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy is:
